and was then crowned as TOP SHOW SPANIEL 2004 in Spaniel Club Main Specialty show 16.10.04 and he ensured even Top Show ESS 2004 title to him in last important show of this year, Finnish Winner-04, where he gained BOB as well!!!

"Albert" Adamant's Royal Heritage has moved today 18.12.04 to live with Heli Hämäläinen, Waterstar's kennel and her Golden retrievers. "Albert" will be seen in lot of shows in the future. We wish the best of luck to this charming boy!

"Saara" Adamant's Summer Fantasy got a lovely litter 17.12.04. 5 liver white boys and 2 liver white girls, all doing well and mum Saara taking such a good care of all. We are looking much forward to their development. Sire is UK bred Mompesson Sky View, living and owned by kennel Mistily's in Sweden.

"Madde" Adamant's Royal Stories has moved today 12.12.04 to live with Sanna and Sami Kavèn, kennel Wildomars. She will be co owned by us too. We wish many happy moments and nice future with this beauty, who reminds so much of her mum 'Emma' Melverly Violetta!!

"Saara" Adamant's Summer Fantasy is looking really huge at the moment. She is due in a week. Looks like she has hidden some extra Christmas suprises? in her tummy. We will see soon, anyhow she has put up 10 kilos extra weight from normal. Or may be just stealing too much food.

What a great weekend and way to finish our team's succesfull show year this was!!
Thank you everyone making this year to come true!

Merja Järnstedt judged 60 ESS in this show. Morning begun great way to us, since 'Moses' With Touch Holy Moses won juniorclass and too Finnish Junior Winner-04 title to his credit, congrats to Antti! And thanks for keeping our co owned boy in such great condition and handled superb every time.

Finnish Winner-04 in males went to Adamant's Golden Boy who took BOB and was even shortcut in high quality FCI 8 Group! He ensured him also "Top Show ESS of the Year 2004" title and already earlier he was crowned as "Top Spaniel 2004", so the year has been so unforgettable to owner Saila Sundell too, big congratulations!!!
Our Frida Adamant's Dreams Are Free did not want to be worse than other team, but was showing again her charming happiness and Springer temperament all time, enjoyed the show and went to Best Bitch and Fin Winner-04 title too! In a hard competition including also some of top winning ESS from Sweden among other competitors. Our other team did also well: 2. Best Bitch was Adamant's Estée Lauder and she won BOB veteran too, way to finish her unforgettable show career that has had so many highlight moments along the way. Our grand old gentleman Onni Adamant's Superman got in his critique "he can show model and excample to those younger"..and went to prestigious 3. place in Best Male class, just having been beaten by TOP Show ESS 2004 Finland and current leader of Swedish Top ESS 2004.
Adamant's Golden Sound went also to prestigious 4. place in Best Bitch in hard competition of high quality bitches.

Our breeders class was a dream group to collect from our own bred dogs today to show in this class and it is shown in this combination only once and only. It consisted of such dogs, who each have done a little piece of Finnish Ess history. They have won more than 200 BOBs, more than 100 Groups, countless amount CCs and CACIBs, they have won 9 TOP ESS of the Year titles, they have won 5 Top Spaniel of the Year titles, they have won 17 Winner titles, and numerous high placements in Top Dog All Breeds competitons + each of them have presented our breeding work so many times in our winning breeders classes...and each of them has won Best of Breed in Spaniel Club Annual Main Specialty under UK breed specialist judge! The group went to BOB and finally BIS-4 in final ring under Luis Pinto Teixeira, who is known as a judge who appreciates classic ESS type.

As a sugarbite on the bottom, "ONNI" ADAMANT'S SUPERMAN went again to honour ring on Sunday to get the prize for TOP VETERAN #3 ALL BREEDS FINLAND 2004!!! Still fooling around in Helsinki Show's honour ring there just like he did already 1996, when he won BIG, BIS-5 in this show at tender age of 13 months....

4.12.04 in Genova (Italy) International All Breed show Carlo's dream became true: Adamant's True Sensation finished his INTERNATIONAL SHOW CHAMPION title! He won one more BOB, CAC, CACIB and got his Int Ch title in first possible show after having one year between 1. and latest CACIB + having done field trial test at Spring time-04.
He went to prestigious BIG-3 placement in Group judged by wellknown UK judge Terry Thorn!!!

Robin has won 7 CACIBs (International tickets) in Croatia, Italy, France, Schwitzerland, San Marino.

28.11.04 Adamant's True Love won her 2. CC and BOS in Kuusankoski Group show, under Jorma Silta. Now she only needs one CC to finish the title. Congratulations Julia and Eeva!

Jyväskylä International All Breed Show 20-21.11.04 "Frida" Adamant's Dreams Are Free continued like she can: Best of Breed and Cacib again in International show. Breed judge was Leila Kärkäs Finland, and Group judge Betty Duding from USA also liked her, since she was shortcut in 6 best of FCI 8 Group! Young With Touch Holy Moses "Moses" won all males (BOS!), even Spaniel of The Year 2004 Adamant's Golden Boy, who was 2. best male now, and his dad Adamant's Superman 4. best male, and was shortcut in BIS veterans like everytime so far! "Moses" took his 11. CC and 2. CACIB in second Int Show after 15 months age!
Our breeders class (Onni, Frida, Poju, Popi) went again in BIS final and was placed as 3. Best in Show breeders class under Paavo Mattila in high quality competition with lots of great breeders classes

'Onni' Adamant's Superman is one unbelieavable dog, who keeps me surprised all his life through.
He travelled with 'Frida' Adamant's Dreams Are Free and Sanna Vartiainen 12.11.04 over the stormy sea and then long way in bus to Riga, Baltic Winner-04 International All Breed Show, where breed judge was breed specialist Svend Lovenkjaer, Denmark, and Group judge Jerzy Olszewski from Poland. After a good sleep he, 9 years, was ready to go again, and did it his way: BOB, Baltic Winner-04 and BEST OF GROUP! number 74 to his credit and 124. BOB! Numbers which are just in his own class in Scandinavia within this breed. BIG competition was a very high class lineup making the win valuable. Lv Ch title + Baltic Winner-04 title makes his titles now 15. Breed 'Frida' Adamant's Dreams Are Free was BOS, Baltic Winner-04 and new Lv Ch too. Million thanks to Sanna for all the great job with these funny Springers!

But what did then little 'Smoogey' Adamant's Unique Print, daughter of Superman, in her very first puppy show?
She run especially in BIG ring like his father and had all the same tricks like father has, and went to BOB, BIG, BIS-4 in all breed puppy show Kaarina, over 300 puppies entered. Not bad of just 5 month old charming babygirl, who really reminds of his father Onni in so many ways; congrats to her proud owner Taina Kaleva!

Adamant's Summer Fantasy is definitely pregnant. There is easily palpable 4 puppies and probably one more; we expect for 5 (again!). Still more than 5 weeks to go.

Melverly Violetta's and With Touch Holy Moses' puppies are developing great all 4.
Here is an excample of them, the little 'Albert', Adamant's Royal Heritage, the only boy puppy in the litter.

Congrats again to Roxanne Flores, kennel Daystar, USA, for "Kuvia's" Adamant's Breakdance nice weekend again in Mexico shows 30.10-31.10.04, where she won Best of Breed, BIG-3 and BOS to her credit.

Seinäjoki double show weekend was more than exciting for us. Grand old Adamant's Superman had went up to 3. place in TOP DOG VETERAN ALL BREEDS competition before this show weekend and we were excited if he yet again gains his place among 3 very best in one Top Dog competition. And he did!!!
These were the last shows to count in Top Dog competitions 2004.
Onni was shortcut both days in 6-7 best veterans but did not get more points. Cairn nearly catched him, but 1 point made it possible; Onni did yet one more piece of ESS history in Finland as getting the honourable 3. place in Top veteran all breeds!!!
Latest time any other ESS has went here into 3 best Top veterans before this was 15 years ago, when Adamant's Living Dream was 2. Top veteran All Breeds.

In International Seinäjoki Show judge was Paula Rekiranta, whose choice for BOB was Adamant's Dreams Are Free, who went later on to BIG-2 under Nils Molin, Sweden, and she is now leading Spaniel of the Year competition of the year 2005!
She continued on other day All Breed Show as winning another BOB and BIG-3 judges were Kari Salminen in breed and Paula Rekiranta in Group, and their critiques to Frida begun "Excellent bitch who is moving magnififcent.." and "Truly lovely mover..". Our young 9 month old baby 'Siiri' Adamant's Sweet Dreams took Best Bitch 3. place + first CC to her credit in International show day. Adamant's Golden Boy was BOS at first day with CACIB, and 2. best male second day after sire Onni Adamant's Superman, who took BOS on 2. day. Adamant's Blowing Free was 3. best male 2. day. Adamant's Golden Sound was 4. best bitch 1. day. Our breedersclass was BOB both days. First day we had Siiri, Oona, Poju and Popi in our group, second day Onni, Poju, Frida and Popi (3 best males + best bitch). Second day our group went to prestigious Best in Show-2 placement, judge in final ring was Kresten Scheel, Denmark.
Last but absolutely not the least: our import 'Moses' owned together with Antti Hokkanen, With Touch Holy Moses was shown only 1. day but with great success, as he won 3. best male, CC, and res CACIB, which will turn from Golden Boy to a CACIB!!! Congrats again to Antti, and a MILLION thanks for being other handler for Onni's veteran wins through this year; Antti has shown 1/4 of points to Onni's credit out of those 191!!!.

Adamant's Superman won BIS veteran title 2. year in row in this show
and went to 3. place in Top Veteran All Breeds

40 year Jubilee show for Spaniel breeds was succesfull one again for us

Record entry for ESS, 123, made classes big, but though our team of 14 Adamant's Springers + one import found all except one themselves placed in 4 best in their classes and everyone of ours got EXCELLENT!
We are pleased that also very many other ESS made of our lines got class wins and other excllent results, as for excample BIS puppy is out of Adamant's Dancing Queen, who has proved to be an excellent brood bitch; she is also grand dam to Best of Breed winner of this club show!.
There were so many top moments through the day, and day ended best way for us, since ADAMANT*S GOLDEN BOY followed his sire's Superman's foot prints and took the prestigious award TOP SHOW SPANIEL OF THE YEAR!! Superman himself has had this honour 1999, 2000, 2002, 2003!

Superman behaved in breed ring like 'clark kent' until the choice of best veteran of the breed, where he did wake partly up.
But that was nothing to compare what kind of performance he did in BIS veteran, since there was running a lovely girl in best of heat front of him; he stealed the show and the estrade with his charisma and took Best in Show Veteran title second year in row in this show! Judge was Hans Lehtinen.
This win meant he is currently 3. in Top Dog Veteran All Breeds before two last shows.

Adamant's Golden Boy was on great show mood and went to Best of Breed, Cacib, and BIG-3 under breed specialist Dolores Dinneen from Ireland. Daddie Onni Adamant's Superman was 3. best male and BIS-2 veteran under Carlos Saevich, Argentine.
Frida Adamant's Dreams Are Free took a reserv-Cacib and our breedersclass was Best of Breed We did not show it in BIS ring because of handlers injuries after a fall because of sliding carpet. (had been too much to run for one 'wooden legged').

Superman was later on BIG-2 in excellent group competition and gained one more Best in Show veteran title!! Adamant's Beauty Queen was 3. best bitch and took a reserv CC.

Veera was spending her weekend with 'Enni' Adamant's Golden Success in tracking test, and success was superb again! Enni attended her 3. tracking test and gained her 3. 1 prize, this was her debut in Winner class with excellent points 47 out of 50 possible!
Enni has indeed been a natural talent tracking dog without much training at all, she just does it, without bigger mistakes.

We had a great and sunny weekend in Sawo Show cluster weekend 6-8.04.
We packed with Sanna Kavén and Veera 4 ESS, 1 Tibetan Spaniel + 1 English Setter in to our Kangoo, and were driving a long way there, to meet more friends there to share a cottage we had hired over weekend. Team work was power and everything went smoothly in hot sunshine.
Days were successful and nice leisure time to chat with dog people; what more could you expect from a nice dog show weekend.

Adamant's Superman found a new handler, and was showing great indeed all hot days; results were BOB, BOS, BIG-3, BIS-3 veteran and BIS veteran (under Lesley Chalmers, NZ)!!!
Adamant's Dreams Are Free was Best Bitch in all three showdays, and on Sunday International Show she took even BOB and CACIB
Moses With Touch Holy Moses took 2 more CC to his credit and 1 res CC, he was on Friday and Sunday 2. best male straight after Superman. On Sunday under well known Finnish all rounder Kari Järvinen our three males stood 1., 2. and 3 (Adamant's Superman 1., With Touch holy Moses 2. with CC, Adamant's Golden Boy 3. with CACIB) in best male, and Frida Adamant's Dreams Are Free won BOB, CACIB, puppies Adamant's Sweet Dreams and brother Adamant's Secret Weapon were BOB and BOS puppies, like also on Friday under Ritva Raita, on Saturday under Canadian judge Letitia Bett they were not entered.

When also Sanna's both dogs Christa and Jekku took BOB, CACIB, CC on Sunday International, our drive back was more than easy.

Adamant's True Sensation took his first ALL BREED BEST IN SHOW win in Italy Laveno regional Show 1.8.04.
Group judge was Maria Brivio-Chellini and BIS judge Sonja Falletti Bellan.
Robin had also won BOB, BIG-2 in July in Bezosso all breed show

Healthy news:
Adamant's Sound of Success was eye checked at 10 years 7 months age and her eyes were clear. Also her daughter Nobhill Success Story was clear, and so was Adamant's Dancing Queen, 7 years and our import With Touch Holy Moses 1 year.

Adamant's Be My Dream has been successfull in obedience and tracking!
She attended in two obedience tests and got 1, prize in both with 169 and 184 points.
Tracking test went as well, as she took 45 points and 1. prize too! Well done Johanna with Myntha!!
Myntha and Oona (Adamant's Golden Sound) won also the best breeder's 'brace' competition in Club's obedience Annual Championship competition!

Adamant's Sweet Dreams, nearly 7 months, waiting for show time

We had a weekend off from shows ourselves 31.7-1.8.04, but next weekend will be busy with 3 shows.
Anyhow 'Kuvia' Adamant's Breakdance has visited Mexico with owner Roxanne Flores, and won CC and BOS first day,and even better on next day: Kuvia won CC, Best of Breed, BIG-3 under USA judge Dorothy Nickles!!! This means obviously , that Kuvia took her Mexican Champion title! (not confirmed yet) Big Congrats to Roxanne!.

One more BOB to 'Moses' With Touch Holy Moses, now in Mäntyharju All Breed Show 31.7.04 under Eeva Rautala. Unfortunately now Moses was not able to stay for Group final in this show.
He won his 5. CC now!

Even 'Emma' Melverly Violetta is visiting some shows, now in Sweden Ronneby 4 x international Show. She is there with co owner Sanna Kavén and the family, and shown beautifully by Jussi Liimatainen. In a very good competition of high quality ESS she has so far got every day at least CC quality, and was 30.7 Best Bitch-5 under Irish judge Rita McCarry-Beattie and 31.7.04 Best Bitch-3 under Tamas Jakkel, Hungary. We are very grateful to Jussi for handling Emma!

We enjoyed a beautiful summer day traditionally in Helsinki All Breed Summer Show 24-25.7.04.
This show has been succesful to us (BIG-1 year 2003, BIS-1 year 2002 etc..) and so it was also this year!
Young With Touch Holy Moses did not mind about the hot weather and he was showing & moving like a dream and went to win his 4. CC and Best of Breed!! Breed judge was Paavo Mattila, Fin. The old gentleman Onni Adamant's Superman enjoyed especially (as usually) the final ring and won BIS-2 Veteran in hard competition under well known all rounder judge Brenda Banbury, UK. "Frida" Adamant's Dreams Are Free won BOS!! and, her hair has at least begun to grow now so we hope she will be back in her best condition soon for to be ready for all exciting autumn/late summer shows.

Moses is an excellent mover, who has got that 'something' in his way to show himself and has also got the "magic delaytime" -so typical of the breed but nowadays so seldom seen- before putting his frontleg back on the ground

Judge was from Russia. 3. CC to Moses so far!

Eye check 20.7.04 was done and all we checked were clear of hereditary eye diseases:
Adamant's Superman 8 years 10 months
Adamant's Summer Fantasy 5 years
Melverly Violetta 3 years
Adamant's Sweet Dreams 7 months

We are looking forward to have two litters this autumn, both Melverly Violetta and Adamant's Summer Fantasy will be mated.

We had a most unforgettable weekend in Sweden. A true Springer Event was held there weekend 10-11.7.04!
First day it was held Swedish Springer Club Show with an entry of 172 ESS. Joy to look at so many quality ESS all day long! As an icing of cake our with Sanna Kavèn co owned 'Emma' Melverly Violetta took her first Swedish CC and was awarded BIS Open Class ESS!!!. Bitches and finals were judged by a real breed specialist Marie Merchant, Australia!
Saila's boys Adamant's Golden Boy and Adamant's Blowing Free got nice class placements with ccq and hp under another specialist judge Glenn Miller,UK, and even dear old good Onni Adamant's Superman enjoyed his trip a lots as usual and his fans from USA got the chance to meet him in real!

Next day was held the second International ESS symposium which gathered breeders and judges around the world to discuss about the breed. What could be more interesting and fun than to think all essential breed things together with many breeders and experts; time was just flying by. For me breed standard gives endless resource of thinking how it should be read and without understanding it and its meaning it is impossible to gain anything real in the breed.
Experts about ESS healthy things and temperament gave superb lectures with a common sense, something to think for everyone.
From Finland there participated 3 judges, I as one of 6 panelists from 6 different countries, and Hans Lehtinen and Marjo Jaakkola. Over 20 judges alltogether.
I had a pleasure to be one of panelists also in the 1. International ESS symposium in USA, Toledo last year and 3. symposium will be held also in USA next year, more info here: One World

Thank you for everyone, who made this unforgettable weekend possible! David Swank from USA did a great thing as beginning the tradition of these International symposiums and Harald Ulltveit-Moe from Sweden took the second step with most impressive way being the soul and leader of the second one; lets keep this going!
Lovely to see you all friends there around the world; pitty time was just not enough to talk with everyone as much as I had hoped, but lets hope to see soon again somewhere, sometime!

Rain, rain and yet more rain-this has been the melody of Finnish Summer-04 so far.
3.7.04 we went to Helsinki all breed puppy show, and it did rain all day through. Not badly yet in breed ring but in finals pouring rain..anyhow our little Siiri aka Adamant's Sweet Dreams did not mind the weather and won BOB, BIG, BIS-3! She got an excellent qritique, breed and group judge was Hannel Jokisilta and BIS judge Matti Luoso. Because of pouring rain we did not mind to take camera out of bag anymore during finals

He is two years now and has won already by now many Best of Breeds, CCs, CACIBs and BIG placements in many different countries and is a joy to own. At Midsummer weekend Can Ch Adamant's True Fashion has won one more
Best of Breed and also Best of Group-3 in Canada! Congratulations again to Melanie, kennel Waternymph, well done!

His sister Adamant's True Love has won now her first CC and also Reserv Cacib, it happened in Russia, Petersburg international show, where J Schepers from Holland was judging 6 entered English Springers. Since this breed is still quite a rarity in huge Russia, also in this show it had been just Finnish or half Finnish made ESS shown. Every class winner gets usually CC each(!), so now happily also 'Eeva' got one. Well done Julia and Eeva, we are very happy for you!

Entry totally was 2400, 13 ESS were judged by Tamas Jakkel, Hungary. BIS breeder class judge Giudo Vandoni, Italy and BIS veteran judge Marja Talvitie, Finland, Group judge Tamas Jakkel

Adamant's Superman, 8,5 years, won his Best of Breed number 119 in this show!
In group finals he was not on his very top showmood, but though managed to get hounourable placements both in Group 8 and in BIS veteran: BIS-4 veteran and BIG-4!!
Adamant's Dreams Are Free still in short summer dress won bitches and got one more CACIB and BOS to her credit. Saila's boys Adamant's Golden Boy (res-Cacib) and Adamant's Blowing Free (res-CC) finally after 8 months winning time in every important Finnish show found themselves now beaten, but they in the end made a half of our breeding group, which went in final ring and won prestigious BEST IN SHOW!!! Special thanks to Saila and to Sanna, who made this possible! Judge for BIS breeder classes was Guido Vandoni, Italy.
Also Adamant's Summer Fantasy was with and won res-CACIB and was placed Best Bitch-2

Another Great Weekend!

now 12.6.04 in
Bergamo International All Breed Show Italy, where Robin aka Adamant's True Sensation took again CC, CACIB, BOB and finally BIG-2!! Well done again Carlo with your boy, who seems to live up to his name.
Breed judge was Marco Valgarengi, Italy and Group judge Christian Stefanencu, Romania. Pictures probably soon to come

We spent a lovely sunny show day 13.6.04 in Virkkala National All Breed Show
Frida Adamant's Dreams Are Free in her summer dress charmed the Belgian judge Lizette Delvaux, who gave her Best of Breed and in Group honourable BIG-3 placement, so Frida was best Spaniel of that show in top competition. Even Onni Adamant's Superman made a good job getting BOS and later under judge Marija Kavcic he won BIS-3 veteran!

In Sweden Adamant's Finnish Flash took one more 1. prize in tracking test and that made him up to
Swedish Tracking Champion!. Congratulations to owner Veronica Östman, Sweden!

What a Week!
In one week so much success rained for our team around the world!
On top of the success was super day in Springer Club's Annual Specialty Show , where AGAIN it was an unforgettable day to Saila's boys. Now it was dad Adamant's Golden Boy, who took Best of Breed and in final also BEST IN SHOW!!!.
It was number TEN of at least Best male wins for one of Saila's boys in row...huuge congratulations again!
Since every now and then it can be hard to run like these boys themselves will, I got the pleasure to handle 'Poju' in BIS final this time, and a great surprise: he did not do any funny jumping trick this time but showed perfectly!
His son Adamant's Blowing Free was awarded res CC, 3. best male and the award for BEST MOVER.
He did not bounch more than a 'few' extra jumps;-).
Onni won veteran class with 'Vg' and even Frida, who was just using 'summer bikini', got a nice critique though and 'Vg', and so we were able to show our breeders class, who was Best of Breed and BIS-2
Junior 'Moses' With Touch Holy Moses continued his excellent show career by winning Exc1, BOB junior and later even
Best in Show Junior under Mrs Jan Rees. Breed judge and BIS judge was mr Ron Billows, 'Robil' kennels, UK.
